Knicks Beat Cavaliers in Game 5, Advance to Second Round
Brunson, Barrett Lead Knicks to Victory
The New York Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-95 in Game 5 on Wednesday night to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks with 23 points, while RJ Barrett added 21 points.
The Knicks controlled the game from the start, taking a 10-point lead in the first quarter. They extended their lead to 15 points in the second quarter and never looked back.
The Cavaliers were led by Darius Garland, who scored 22 points. However, Garland was the only Cavalier to score more than 15 points.
The Knicks will now face the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round. Game 1 of the series is scheduled for Saturday night in Philadelphia.
